Repeat this for several breaths, focusing on the rise and fall of your abdomen.

2. Box Breathing

This technique involves breathing in for a count of four, holding your breath for four counts, exhaling for four counts, and then holding again for four counts. Repeat this cycle several times, maintaining a steady rhythm. Box breathing can help calm the mind and reduce stress.

3. Alternate Nostril Breathing

Close your right nostril with your right thumb and inhale deeply through your left nostril. Close the left nostril with your ring finger, release the right nostril, and exhale through the right side. Inhale through the right nostril, close it, and exhale through the left. This practice balances the flow of energy in the body and clears the mind.

4. Breath Counting

Sit quietly and count each inhalation and exhalation cycle up to a count of ten. Once you reach ten, start again from one. If your mind wanders, gently bring your focus back to counting. This exercise helps improve concentration and awareness of your breath.

5. Guided Breath Meditation

Listen to a guided meditation that focuses on the breath. Follow the instructions on when to inhale, hold, and exhale. Guided meditations can deepen your awareness of breathing patterns and promote relaxation.
